I can confirm the success of the fix. Tasksel now lists two different entries:
[ ] Kubuntu KDE 4 live CD
[ ] Kubuntu live CD
(I don't have a Hardy installation nearby now. But over three days I'm
back home,
This is fixed in Jaunty since the separate KDE4 tasks have been removed
(now integrated into the main Kubuntu tasks) but this bug is still
relevant to Hardy and Intrepid.
