You need to get the newest igb drivers from here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=42302package_id=237808
You need, at least, version 1.2.44.3.
Version 1.2.24 (which is linked as the newest version on the Intel homepage

I can confirm this problem.
I'm running kernel 2.6.24-19-xen on Ubuntu 8.04, and have got two Intel 82575EB
nic's, which just don't work.
According to ifconfig, ip link show, brctl show and so on, everything seems to
be fine. But there is just no traffic going through the interfaces.
With the
Seems to work with the new igb driver module compiled from source.
Would be nice if the new igb-driver could be included in the modules
backports package for xen.

The intel nics are working fine with the ubuntu stock-kernel not using xen.
