Public bug reported:
After I upgraded my system and installed the kernel 2.6.24-17 my sound
system and my network card don't work.

3) All the system sound working fine and the wireless network working
fine too.
4) After reboot with a new kernel, the sound system wasn't available to
use and the network wireless wasn't available too.
Using lspci you can see below the devices that aren't available after upgrade
the kernel:
