Well, 3.1 has been out for months now. It's in Debian but failing to
migrate to maverick for some reason out of our control.
Meanwhile my PPA is being kept up with the Debian release.

Amos - the Squid packages in your PPA work as expected.
The Squid packages in Jaunty still appear to have broken IPv6
connectivity.

My PPA now contains beta squid3 packages with IPv6 support and other new
3.1 feature enabled. Some features require a 2.6.28+ kernel so only
Jaunty and later are provided.
There are still bugs to be worked out of 3.1, but they seem to work for
me so far.

Squid 3.1 is currently in beta. Testers are welcome, of course. But maybe
getting it into a release is still a bit risky.
More testers, less risk :D
