Here's how to do to get this DVB-T board to work. Download the attached
firmware, open your terminal and execute:
tar xvjf xc3028-v27.fw.tar.bz2
sudo cp xc3028-v27.fw /lib/firmware/
sudo apt-get install vlc win32codecs libdvdcss2
Restart your computer.
Generate a channels.conf file from v4l-dvb

Does some one know if Jerky Jackalope includes this patch? I tried to install

So I probably made a mistake in the hardy backport, I'll have another
look. It would help to know whether the jaunty kernels linked in the
Mar-11 entry work.
Thanks,

The patch is already applied to http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb the main

OK. How far upstream will you report the patch? Is it the Linux kernel

Both Jaunty and intrepid are behind the upstream v4l code, obviously
intrepid is more so. I'm applying this to Jaunty and will build a test

Stefan Bader's translation is correct but there is a small problem with
the patch. Software using the card will report it as Pinnacle card. This
may confuse users. The attached patch adds a complete entry for the
terratec card. The patch has been send upstream and, if accepted, will
be in a future
In essence the fix reported states that when adding (well he replaced
the original entry) the id (.subvendor = 0x153b, .subdevice = 0x1177) to
the cards listwith the same subdriver model as for the Pinnacle card,
this would work (should be the attached patch). One reported he had to
patch the file
I've created a patch and mailed it to upstream.

The aforementioned patch was against an experimental cx88 driver that
was never committed upstream. I exchanged email with the maintainer of

Maybe this one helps finding the problem:

This is in German, but I think it could still be helpful for solving the
