I upgraded from Ubuntu 7.10 (feisty) to 8.04 (hardy) on this machine.
However, on another machine that has a clean install of hardy (not a upgrade),
the problem does not exist.

Actually, the following, pretty rotten, trick "fixes" the issue:
rm /usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.20/xineplug_ao_out_pulseaudio.so
Apparently, this makes libgxine use the alsa audio out instead of
pulseaudio, and everything works Jim Dandy (until you upgrade libxine1
-misc-plugins, wherein this .so fil

doesn't fix the SIGSEGV:(
Upon closer inspection, the segfault might be tied to libxine1, and not
miro itself. I've tried installing, then running, gxine, and that one
segfaults, too. Is anyone else seeing this?
