8.10 seems better for ATI support but doesnt seem as stable as 8.04 just
yet although that's probably me doing stupid stuff with it.

Confirmed. ATI-fglrx means no options in TV-out. I can activate tv-out
using aticonfig (but need to adjust resolution for TV).
