can you please try:
sudo apt-get clean
and then retry installing it again?

Hi this was so long ago that I had forgotten about it.
I managed to solve it in the end by using Snaptic package manager and listing
broken items then I discovered there was a repair option, which I used.
Now have different problems with Evolution freezing during compose, will
post separately.
thank you for your bug report, that seems to be a system issue or an
upgrade glitch though and not an evolution bug, you should try
reinstalling those
