I suspect the issue is still there, as the ecryptfs format changed between 7.10 and 8.04. However it will only affect users of ecryptfs from 7.10 or prior that upgrade to 8.04 or later. Regardless, the maintainer doesn't seem to care, as the data isn't corrupted, just inaccessable from newer ker
