I confirm similar (less critical) behaviour: under FF3 (3.0+nobinonly-
0ubuntu0.8.04.1), asking ff3 to check for addon updates does not
complete. I can close the addon window without a crush. Everytime the
same (5) addons are stuck in the checking for update state. The message
above the progress ba
The extensions I have installed are: Adblock Plus with Filterset G and
Element Hiding Helper, Cute Menus Crystal SVG, Download Status Bar, Fire
FTP, Forecast Fox, Hyperwords, Smart Bookmarks Bar, Tiny Menu, and
Toolbar Buttons.
It may not be a specific extension because if I try to download any ne
I was able to fix this by uninstalling all versions of firefox and
deleting files in usr/ lib.

deleting files in usr/ lib.
