A merge would make more sense. I would have done the merge myself, but
the devscript merge is still a little outside my current abilities. I
submitted this patch just as a temporary fix. Since it has been applied
in Debian, it won't make the merge any more difficult. By applying this

2.10.26ubuntu6 in Intrepid.

devscripts 2.10.30 still has to be merged/synced from Debian. It looks
as if this bug will be fixed when that happens. I am providing a debdiff
just to be on the safe side. However, it would be best to fix this bug
with a merge/sync from Debian.

(and almost certainly introduced in .26 when the package was moved back
to Suggests)
