Thanks for the info. When I reconnect it takes about 30 to 35 minutes of
"setting channels" before it resumes where it left off downloading
files. At the very least, this should be added to the aforementioned
help page, that "the upgrade aborts now" does not mean all the
downloaded files are lost.

This is indeed a missing feature, however it should not loose any
downloaded data. That means, even if the upgrade aborted, when you run
it next time, it should pick up from the point were it got disconnected.
