i think someone with higher hardware configuration, latest linux
kernel,and one with high graphics hardware(atleast something like Nvidia
Gforce GTX 200 Series.) should comment on this.

As u will notice my above post i have said that there is a bit of
problem with frontech e-cam.it is a lot (i really mean it) better in
ubuntu 9.10,thaks to the new kernel.

functional,may be its even better that proprietary driver on w

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.
