I tried to reproduce this using Xubuntu Hardy Heron, 8.04.1. After
inserting the floppy disk in the drive, if you do NOT double-click the
icon on the desktop, the floppy disk does not mount and you cannot save

I'm sorry you're frustrated but we are not in a position to test it
ourselves, as we do not have test machines - we are also volunteers.

* Does this happen with other file types?
* Which user folder are you copying to, is it another user?
* Is the floppy
