I'm having the same problem with Intrepid and a 2.6.27-9 kernel. The
wireless router is flaky and the system constantly needs to be
reconnected. I get the ProbeResp message in the logs.

upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
