I am using that version by now, of course. But how do you expect a
change in encoding help with the wrong server being addressed? I
wouldn't (and of course it doesn't, mentioning this just to make sure
nobody indeed asks this)

Now, I get "Your account is locked, please log in to the Yahoo! website.

Looks to me as if the US servers are being used for authentication
despite the account being clearly marked as a Yahoo Japan account.
