Binary package hint: digikam
Apparently digiKam cannot rebuild thumbnails for an album or a selection of
albums. It is only possible to rebuild thumbnails for the entire collection.
This is not feasibly most photographers as they often have huge collections.
Rebuilding thumbnails for an entire collection can take hours or even days.
Steps to reproduce:
1: Open digiKam
2: Right click on an album in My Albums
3: Observe that there is no "Rebuild thumbnails for this album" option.
4: Click on the Tools menu.
5: Select Rebuild All Thumbnails
6: Sit back and waste hours of CPU time while generating thumbnails for the
entire collection.
