Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pcmanfm
In PCManfm, all files excluding folders and executable files are marked with the file type: unknown (application/octet-stream) This true, at least, with .tar.gz, .deb, .doc, .odt, .xls, .ods, .txt, .rpm, .pdf, .ics, .cwk, .ogg, and .mp3. I haven't actually tested other file types, but I'm assuming the bug is true for them as well. pcmanfm: Installed: 0.4.3-1 Candidate: 0.4.3-1 Version table: *** 0.4.3-1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch) Release: 8.10 In other file managers, such as XFE, all mime types are displayed properly. ** Affects: pcmanfm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Pcmanfm unknown mime-type https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/243378 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
