Got same in 9.04
Workaround from #2 solves the problem
Attaching diff from bad (addindb001~) and good (addindb001), made by
find /home/mc-scrat/.tomboy/addin-db-001~/ -type f | xargs cat addindb001~
Hope it helps solving the trouble

thanks for the report, do you have any specific step for reproduce this?
do you get the same with another new user account? a few steps to
reproduce it would be nice to have, thanks.

Looks like it does NOT happen on a new user account.
I previously wiped out everything but the .tomboy directory, which of course
contains my notes
Looks like if I delete my .tomboy I can come up and reinitialize the system
correctly...
oho! if I delete my .tomboy/addins-db-001 the problem goes
