OK I'm in 8.04 again, and have to say that there were no instructions
with the repository set of DVD's and CD's for 8.04, which I got in May
the first set and when I ran into problems with Add CD not working, I
told the Flipside Technologies about it and he sent me a new set that
arrived here just

the new CD-R.

This is from 7.10,
I thought lets try this again with the New second set of CD'DVD's the
CD-r was already on the desktop, so in Software sources/ Third-Party
Software TAB I clicked on Add CD, and this time it does the expected
things, with the other set it would not do this. In 8.04 the first set

did work at one time, it may take 1/2 an hour to get this data for you.

This is the Main Repository #2 Hardy Heron 8.04 Disk Packed with
Packages. Note that the Packages detected Dialog box is not on screen.
The File Browser shows that there are two folders on the CD, and this is
a CD -R. Inside those two folders are thousands of Packages. Screenshot

I did contact the supplier before all this, and he said that he tested
each CD, DVD this time prior to shipping, and they worked fine. He sent
me a new set of them, because he guaranteed them. When I used them to
upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04 they were read, and everything about reading
them, wor
