I also ran into the issue with no more accounts being available :(. Too
bad the new version had to wipe the old accounts off.
After seeing that this fix for Ubuntu went into hardy-proposed, I was
hoping to test the x86_64 build of weave in bug #442679 at mozilla bugs
with this. Oh well.. guess I
Unfortunately, the latest release hard codes a check to
services.mozilla.com to see if accounts are available, so neither the
reference server nor webDAV will work. I'm told it's fixed in VCS.

Note: i dont think that touching the application .autoreg files from
withing the libraries .postinst is an acceptable option. Especially,
when considering that the next xulrunner/firefox security update will
auto cure those that dont try to reinstall their extension with
blacklisted binary componen

For me what you describe is expected behaviour for this fix and should
be good enough to go ahead.

Couple of other points I thought worth clarifying:
* Installing the updated packages before Weave allows it to function
fine, first time.
* Touching *only* /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9/.autoreg fixes the issue
without reinstalling Weave (though after restarting FF)

After reproducing the error, I left the browser open while I upgraded
the packages, a touched the files in turn (xulrunner first, firefox
second) - neither fixed the problem (same crypto error each time).
Restarting the browser *did* fix the problem though, I didnt need to
reinstall the

Thanks for clarifying.
If you can easily resurrect the vanilla Hardy VM, could you also redo
the test and run
sudo touch /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9/.autoreg
(or sudo touch /usr/lib/firefox-3.0/.autoreg)
right _before_ step 3 (e.g. before restart)?

I loaded a Vanilla Hardy VM, patched it up, install Weave, attempted a
logon and it failed.
I then upgraded nspr/nss with the packages in proposed.
I immediately tried to login to weave again but got the same error.

show that the problem is in the nss/nspr upgrade.
Please test the following:
1. install weave extension on top of the latest firefox in hardy-updates;
reproduce that you cannot log-in

Same here. Had to remove --purge the packages, reinstall as well as
delete the entire Firefox profile before it would work.
