yeah. i'm running version 2.4 on hardy 8.0.4. whenever i click save, it
freezes up. i'm able to force quit, but then the recovery doesn't do
anything. this happens about 2-3 times before it works and i am able to
save.

I got some terminal output that might make sense to somebody, running
with sudo works great except for the ensuing permissions nightmare on
the saved documents and the obvious security issues.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ooffice -writer
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ *** glibc detected ***
/usr/lib/openoffice/pro
I forgot to mention this is on Hardy w/ 2.6.24-19 generic. Running Calc from
the terminal shows that my JRE is not found:
