Public bug reported: Hardware/Configuration: Ubuntu 8.04 AMD64 HP dv2000 laptop Intel GM965/GL960 Integrated graphics
When playing a video none of the compiz effects display correctly. When the video is scaled, opacified, distorted, or shadowed over ugly static black or blue is displayed where the effect should be. When another video is opened (even another instance of the same video) it displays all the effects perfectly. In fact is is absolutely gorgeous - the video is skewed for angles when rotating the cube, and even reflects correctly (and skewed even), when that feature is turned on. It opacifies and shadows too! I can close the first video and the second one continues to display effects correctly. If I close both and reopen one the bug reappears. This was cross tested with VLC and the built in Movie Player. By cross- tested I mean opening two instances of vlc, an instance of vlc then movie player, and vice versa. Everytime the first video does render effects correctly whereas the second does. Subsequent videos also display effects correctly. Man I am impressed though - I have a ton of plugins running, and they all work seamlessly and quickly on the crappy built in video card. The reflection/scaling/skewing/opacifying of the video is especially impressive. Good work guys! ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Compiz effects work on video only after another video already open https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/246403 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
