application did), your .conf file should always be there.

AFAIR this problem appeared after a regular update. I never messed
around with the files in /etc/gre.d.

this isnt a bug. this happens when you manually remove stuff from
/etc/gre.d ... which you shouldnt.

This DID happen to a hardy-security user, with hardy-updates or hardy-proposed
