1) Description: Ubuntu 8.04.1 Release: 8.04 2) Nautilus 2.22.3 3) & 4) Nautilus seems to have different actions when opening a file via sftp (at least with gedit) - if the application is known, then the file is correctly opened - if the application is not known (I tried to open a file without extension -- Sconstruct), and a program is manually indicated via "open with..", then a new file is shown instead in gedit.
