Hi,
The intended behaviour is not to be able to use the slider if not in
call. It is "fixed" in Jaunty (ekiga 3.2.0) as the button is not usable
if not in a call.

I am having this same problem with Ekiga 2.0.12 in Ubuntu Intrepid. The
problem is with the audio sliders and the video sliders as well.

I still see a problem (in Intrepid AMD64), but it is not as bad. Now, I
can operate the sliders while I have connected a phone call. But, if I
try to operate the sliders before the call connects, they still seem to
snap back.
The ekiga version is still 2.0.12.

I happens the same to me with Ubuntu 8.04 64-bit on a Gigabyte GA-
