Uploaded, thanks for your contribution.
I made one small tweak, removing the mention of the maintainer
field from the changelog, as this happens to every package modified
in Ubuntu it's not really useful information, and convention is now
to not mention the change in the changelog.

new version upstream, so I hoped THAT would enter Debian, not the old patched

Here's a patch which fixes this problem for ubuntu. However since the
package is synced from Debian, it would be better if this bug was fixed
in Debian and then synced to ubuntu. Patches has already been submitted
to Debian bug tracking system as well.
