Would be great if developers would fix this. Does not sound like it would be a
big problem.
BTW: May be it is necessary to associate this bugreport with a different

This page works like a charm for me with an IBM T41 running a fresh
install of the beta, downloaded on October 2nd. So far I can't tell a
difference between the old xorg.conf hack and this.

I can confirm this bug it has been around for a ling time, it is still
present in intrepid. It has stepped up in importance for me because they
are moving away from the xorg.conf file as much as possible with
intrepid. I don't know how to properly get someones attention for this.
