I'm not sure if this is a duplicate of bug 134352. Gedit is not slow. It
shows the letters incorrectly. The same bug appears in Geany 0.14.

I was able to reproduce the issue, that's a gtksourceview one, the "Long
delays in loading long lines", re assigning, thanks.

Bugs,
I'm pretty sure it's a text file, since it is a sample input of a
certain programming exercise. When I open it, it looks like those
letters f and g overlaps themselves. As I said, OpenOffice.org 2.4.1 can
open it as well as vi.
In those zip-file mpera.zip there are another files. I guess those are
thank you for your bug report, how not correctly? are you sure that's a
text file? can you open it correctly using an another text editor?
