i have the same problem on Hardy with GNOME evolution 2.22.3.1.

To reproduce the problem: Create a new user, take a number in "Phone,
Business" or "Phone, Private" and look in the contacts overview. At me,
the problem only in the "Phone, Business" or "Phone, Private" field.

I have replied to your email (07/26/08) immediantly, but it looks like
as you have not received my response after all!
The "bug" I reported is permanent. The adress book always repeats the
first saved phone number in the column "Weiteres Telefon", like also noted in
bug #226817!
