Title:
Emerald is unmaintained and has been for 3 years now. It should come
as no surprise that it has not been fixed.

Title:
Emerald loses window
Wow it's been happening for a while.
I can confirm that the problem still exists on Maverick.
Emerald: 0.7.2-0ubuntu6
Compiz: 1:0.8.6-0ubuntu9.1
VM Ware player: 3.1.3 build-324285
And disabling 'Use Button Fade' seems to be a valid workaround.

Emerald loses window decoration when starting VMware

Just wanted to point out that this bug still exists in Ubuntu 10.04:
emerald: Version 0.7.2
Compiz: Version 0.8.4
VMWare Player: Version 3.1.1
(both are from the Ubuntu repositories.)
Error message is the same as before:

Actually, it seems I can reproduce the error when Ctrl-Alt'ing instead
of minimizing any time, even after it's loaded. When just minimizing
from fullscreen things seem to be okay, but once you ctrl-alt or
something equivalent, maximize and then check back, it almost always
seems to crash.
