Restarting Gnome Do *does* fix the Home problem, though (Bug 290136) so
I guess they are not the same issue?

fix in someone's head which is already implemented or on the way.

If it's any help, I've noticed that "logout" seems to continue working
longer than "suspend" and "shutdown"
After a short time, when shutdown and suspend no longer function, I can
still logout with gnome-do.

Yes, I tested this.
It felt weird first, because I always tried to debug and started from console,
and it just worked.
However, the next time I tried it without the console just after restarting the
machine, and shutdown worked fine.
So it's definitely happening only after some time, or after som
Confirming this bug. Weird thing is that if I close Do and run it from
the terminal, it works (this could however be because Do is restarted).

If you quit gnome-do and then restart it, then there is a better chance
of of the session mgmt. commands working. But I too experience the same
as Charles, the longer my system is running the less chance of the
session mgmt. commands have of working.

It seems I don't know what's going on here. A simple rebuild of the
plugin seems to have fixed the problem for me, but I'll give it more
testing given your intermittent problems.

I'm experiencing this as well with almost all of the session manangement
commands. The longer my login session goes, the less likely the session
management actions are to work.
