The error produced by jockey-gtk seems to be the result of a failure to update your apt database. The fact that it referenced an out-of-date package implies that you did not run "sudo apt-get update" or update through Synaptic prior to running jockey.
When it asks you to do those, it means that you should open a terminal Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal and then type in those commands and add them to your bug report. For instance, on my current machine (non-ubuntu) [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Debian GNU/Linux unstable (sid) Release: unstable ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- Restricted driver missing, HP DV9627CL, on Hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/253107 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
