Get the source package for 9.10 and recompile it. Worked for me.
Or use the binary package from my PPA:
daemontools - 1:0.76-4~ppa1~jaunty1 in
https://launchpad.net/~hauke/+archive/dns

How hard can it be to fix this? It doesn't work, just change the
