What do you mean by archive-manager? If you are referring to file-
roller, it seems that, though it is able to open it, lzma-file-type is

Yeah, I meant file-roller (it's called 'Archive Manager' in the menu).
The specs on lzma as an alternative to tar.gz look great and I hope to
see it in full affect someday. Since I'm putting together my own
Ubuntu-based distro I'd love to have a smaller final ISO.
