Steps to reproduce:
1. Enable autologin
2. Add to session the command: gnome-screensaver-command --lock
3. Reboot, (no, no ctrl+alt+backspace, do reboot).

Effects:
GDM autologin and start gnome-screensaver correctly but any attempt to insert 
the (correct) password will cause a wrong password error.

Workaround:
Reboot X with CTRL+ALT+Backspace. The same sequence (gdm, autologin, 
gnome-screensaver) occours but the correct password will be accepted.
