Public bug reported: I have a Thinkpad T61. I installed gutsy where suspend worked flawlessly. I upgraded to Intrepid and now the following occurs.
Suspend-to-RAM from the laptop-battery-icon menu works as it should, well almost. The machine sleeps but it takes a bit longer than it did in gutsy. On resume a large (maybe 50ish px wide) underscore character flashes a few times in the top left and then the X session resumes. Sometimes the machine also decides to beep. Suspend-to-RAM using the bios key suspends pretty quickly as it should, but on result the graphics card doesn't seem to initialize properly. Network looks like it comes back up although I haven't tried logging in remotely. lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch) Release: 8.10 apt-get update && apt-get upgrade ...
