there is a small difference with how my minimal crashing file looks like, but
probably that's the same bug. Is there some suggested place to look for
binaries of kile 2.0.1 in Ubuntu?

I do not know if this is the suggested solution, but installing a
package kile (and its dependencies) from Debian Lenny solved the
problem, at least at the first sight. Are there some better solutions
for installing kile 2.0.1 under Hardy Heron?

Reinstalling the system did not help, but removal of
~/.kde/share/config/kilerc helped (at least for a moment).

Kile has been running for several months without any troubles. No new
packages were installed on the day the problem occured. The problems
remains when logged in as a different user with a clean KDE environment.
