This bug report is being closed due to this being fixed in Firefox 3.
For future reference you can manage the status of your own bugs by
clicking on the current status in the yellow line and then choosing a
new status in the revealed drop down box. You can learn more about bug

I've tried disabling ubufox add-on, restarted FireFox, then tried the
search but it still has the same behaviour. Is this sufficient to
confirm which package is affected?

file this bug report! I can confirm this issue with 2.0.0.16+1nobinonly-
0ubuntu0.8.04.1 in Hardy.
Though I am not sure if this belongs in firefox or ubufox. Anyone know?
