Public bug reported: Binary package hint: f-spot
Today I installed the Facebook export extension. I didn't get any error when I did this, but when I went to export photos I found that the "Export To" menu item in F-Spot was disabled (grayed out). I have tried disabling and reenabling the Facebook extension, uninstalling the same, disabling and reenabling all of the other extensions, a "complete removal" of F-Spot in Synaptic, and a "complete removal" in Synaptic combined with deleting the .gnome2/f-spot and .gconf/apps/f-spot directories. None of these has brought back my export option. The only interesting piece of debugging information I've seen so far is that when I delete the subfolder of .gconf and run F-Spot I see this: WARNING: The add-in 'FSpot.__DefaultExporters,1.6' is trying to extend '/FSpot/Menus/Exports', but there isn't any compatible add-in defining this extension point This seems somewhat similar to this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/f-spot/+bug/184062 but I've been using F-Spot with Hardy for some time now. Also, I have regularly exported to both Flickr and Gallery with no problems. Nonetheless, I tried this bit: mautil -v --registry ~/.gnome2/f-spot reg-build but that didn't help either. I don't really need the Facebook extension, but I would like to get back the ability to export to Gallery and/or Flickr. I'm happy to run any tests you're interested in. ** Affects: f-spot (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Adding export extension disables "Export to" menu item https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257474 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
