Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rcs
System Information: ---------------------------------- Package version: 5.7-21 Ubuntu Version: 8.04.1 Hardy Heron. uname -a: Linux sidespin 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Fri Jul 11 23:41:49 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux To Reproduce The Problem -------------------------------- [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/scripts$ echo '$Date:$' > test; ci test; co test; cat test; date test,v <-- test enter description, terminated with single '.' or end of file: NOTE: This is NOT the log message! >> . initial revision: 1.1 done test,v --> test revision 1.1 done $Date: 2008/08/14 09:35:01 $ Thu Aug 14 10:35:03 BST 2008 Expected: Dates on last two lines to agree Happened: Dates differ - looks like RCS is not reading the system timezone data so doesn't report time in BST. Other Information -------------------------------- The manual page for rcs includes this line: " -zzone Use zone as the default time zone. This option has no effect; it is present for compatibility with other RCS commands." Looks like it may have solved the problem if it were implemented. ** Affects: rcs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- rcs reports incorect time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257858 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
