Confirm this bug on Kubuntu Intrepid upgraded from Gutsy on two computers.
After removing and installing the fresh Kubuntu Intrepid on one of it 2 weeks
ago, I didn't see this bug on it.

Hi,
I too have had this bug start to occur only in the last few days since
updating to 4.1.3 from the kubuntu packages. When I unplug the USB
keyboard and then plug it back in again it will work fine. The problem
only surfaces for me when I am using digikam. Additionally since
updating to KDE 4.1.
