attachment is showed in acroread but no in evince, will forward
upstream, thanks again.

2. take another pdf, B.pdf.
3. pdftk A.pdf attach_files B.pdf to_page 4 output A_attached.pdf
4. open A_attached.pdf with evince.
5. go to page 4
6. no attachment appears
If you believe that this functionality *has* been implemented, then I'll
upload something. But it looks to
please attach an example to the report.
