I'm seeing the same issue on today's Intrepid.
bluez-gnome0.25-0ubuntu2
gnome-bluetoot 0.11.0-0ubuntu
libbluetooth2 3.36-1
I've just dropped the machine to single user mode, used "apt-get --purge
remove" to remove libbluetooth2, bluez-gnome and gnome-bluetooth,
cleared out /var/lib/bluetooth
the bug still occurs in latest version of bluez-gnome in intrepid
