#244304 (USB floppy automount) is resolved by upgrading to kernel 2.6.27 (linux-image-2.6.27-2-generic_2.6.27-2.3_i386.deb). Hallelujah. I have not tested the legacy-floppy-on-AMD-chipset combination described here and in #152832 yet, but I hope to shortly. -- The Floid's Floppy Issues Tracking
