I have confirmed this issue under Intrepid Alpha 4 Xubuntu.
The attached log was taken while performing the following actions:
1. Copy disk to raw image
2. _Attempt_ to burn raw image to blank CD (on a one CD drive system)

that works for me in Intrepid i dont see this behavior, can you create a
brasero log and upload it to the report? for doing it please run brasero
as: brasero --debug &> brasero-log.txt and attach it to the report,
