The package builds correctly; and the tests fail because they require
and X server. So is this still a bug?
The tests could be disabled I suppose.

The source package is in intrepid but it fails to build from source
(FTBFS), so no packages are available.
The new version still FTBFS, so nothing to sponsor for now. Therefore I'm
unsubscribe ubuntu-universe-sponsors for now.
Please resubscribe u-u-s once the build failure is solved.

Hmm... strange. Google just told me that lua-gtk is available in Intrepid,
as per this page (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lua-gtk)
However packages.ubuntu.com reports "You have searched for packages that
names contain *lua gtk* in suite(s) *intrepid*, all sections, and all

I see. So... should I file about this in Debian and wait until they fix it
then you can sync or?

bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=493424
But unfortunately:
dholbach: the new lua-gtk version starts building but fails during the
tests :(

The new version in Debian unstable fixes this problem, but still fails
to build:
cd tests/; \
ln -s ../build/linux-*/.libs/liblua5.1-gtk.so.0.0.0 gtk.so; \
ln -s ../lib gtk; \
(./run-tests-virtual.sh; echo $? > outcome) & \
testpid=$!
Relaying from IRC:
dholbach: the problem seems to be that ARCH isn't set in Makefile,
so ./configure gets --host without an argument, and thus runs out of options
during option processing (that's the "can't shift that many" bit)
