Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 8.04, up-to-date, and Firefox 3, also up-to-date. I'm having a problem losing focus on text inputs, like the URL bar after doing window Roll Ups.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gconftool -g /apps/metacity/general/focus_mode click [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gconftool -g /apps/metacity/general/action_double_click_titlebar toggle_shade New windows (and tabs) behave correctly. If I select text within a text input (URL bar, for instance) and move the mouse off the window, the text remains high-lighted. If I roll-up the windows by double clicking the titlebar, then expand the window by double clicking the title bar again, the text is still high-lighted, but if I re-high-light the text, and move the mouse off, the input box loses focus. Unfortunately, I run into the bug all the time. I "roll-up" my browser screens to operate terminals, then jump back to the browser and punch in new URLs, or try to. So as not to obscure my work area, I often move (or sling) the mouse off to the side of the browser or text input field. To demonstrate the issue, I've recorded a .ogg video, which I'll include as an attachment. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Focus issue with Metacity and Firefox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/261574 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
