please note that, with the facebook account disabled, pidgin never crashes, so this is almost definitely related to the pidgin-facebookchat plugin also note that many of the related issues i mentioned above seem to indicate that this might be caused by the plugin handling incorrectly facebook chat

i have the same problem. it is happening with the latest version of the facebookchat-plugin (1.37). sometimes it happens when you launch pidgin, sometimes later, during a conversation. notifications are turned off, so it can't be that... unfortunately, this happens stochastically, so i can't defin
