Timo, I don't know what happend (some pkg update may be) but at this
time I can't replicate the conditions. Today I've commented out the alps
form xorg.conf and after a new session or after a warm or cold start
(making a lot of test) the touchpad is working as before I detect the
issue. The Xorg.0
Please attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log after you've commented out the alps
stuff from xorg.conf. The HAL autoconfiguration should manage alps just
fine. Also, attach the output of lshal.

Today find that adding alps section on xorg.conf as explained in
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=78904&highlight=ALPS+TouchPad
my touchpad live again.
That was not necessary before.
